The Avant-Garde Groom

Whiskey. Cigars. Handsome Men. Edgy Style.

We are constantly pushing our clients to be who they are and let their personalities shine on their wedding day. We truly believe that the union of two people should reflect who those two people are at the core. We seek a less traditional approach that usually leads to a very intimate, unique and personal experience for the couple and their wedding guests.

We want to encourage grooms to take a more unique approach to their wedding day attire. Throw the traditional or lackadaisical attitude out the window guys. Let’s bring more style to your wedding day attire, because hey, it’s your day too. Wear a suit jacket that isn’t the exact same color as your slacks, wear a felt hat, un tuck your shirt, scrap wearing a tie, be bold by wearing bold colors, grow out your beard, smoke a cigar, drink some whiskey, show your tattoos and let’s celebrate your love for your beautiful bride.

Beth + Paul

Beth and Paul are one of those couples that is always smiling. Their love is so apparent and honest. Paul's whit and sarcasm will make anyone laugh so hard they cry, if you have seen his greeting cards you know what I mean. Paul took on the task of creating all of the paper goods and signage for the day, which gave it the most perfect personal touch. The signage at the wedding was done in his handwriting as were the 200 place cards with each person's name.

The food, holy smokes, the food. Jonathan Power is truly an incredible chef. He prepared oysters w/ caviar, slow roasted pork shoulder, a fingerling potato salad, along with all the accoutrements you could dream of. Let's also not forgot about the incredible salted carmel chocolate gluten free cupcakes made my Samm from Rootdown, I may have had 3, shhh don't tell.

Beth's father married the couple and the ceremony was so intimate and romantic, there was not a dry eye in the place. You could really feel the love and support from their friends and family. Once the dancing started every single person hit the dance floor, which is usually pretty rare. The dance party was even extended an hour to keep the celebration going. Where's the "do-over" button so we can relive this amazing day?!

Thank you to all the incredible vendors involved!
